Moving

Jun 10, 2011 rosee_85 | Uncategorized

So I am slowly and manually I might add moving my blog over to wordpress. It’s the stupidest thing cause apparently I created a blog over there last year but never posted anything. But I can’t find any account that is tied to that blog so I had to start a new one. The new name is: http://mylifeandbooks.wordpress.com/ which I guess I’ll learn to love.

Stupid blog.com doesn’t allow you to export your blog to another site so I have to move all my post by my self which means I don’t get all your wonderful comments with me but please feel free to comment on old posts again if you feel like it. Everything should be moved after this weekend.

lots off love

Another day

Apr 29, 2011 rosee_85 | Uncategorized

I’ve just spent to many hours in front of the TV watching the royal wedding. They both looked amazing and I had to really try not to cry, I always cry at everything. Emotional mess here.

I did the second day of the workout and yes I’m still in pain but it was pretty fun. I’ll try to stick it out this week, baby steps is the plan.

Day 30 – Your favorite book of all time

Finally! It took me a whole lot longer then 30 days but now it is over! Thank god they ended with an easy question, not. I’ve loved a lot of books but I could not say anything else but Harry Potter to this question. Don’t ask me which one, I don’t know… I know I said the deathly hallows before but I do love them all and since it’s my blog I am going to say ALL OF THEM!

The amazing picture is by Manuella Medina and inspired by A very Potter musical by TeamStarkid also known as Starkidpotter one the fabulous site that is Youtube, check them out! http://www.youtube.com/user/StarKidPotter

Insanity

Apr 28, 2011 rosee_85 | exercise, Uncategorized

Yesterday I tried the Insanity workout for the first time. It a program led by Shuan T that stretches over 60 days. Mostly it’s cardio, lots of jumps up and down, sideways and yeah lots of jumps. It’s about building core strength and not giving up. The workout is what it’s called, completely insane, I was grasping for air after the first half of it, turn out that was the warming up part! Then hell began, it was definitely challenging and I could not keep up all the way through and I’m not supposed to because it’s all about fighting to get better.

I’m not sure I’ll be making it all the way through the 60 days cause anyone who knows me know that I’m not the type of person that sticks with things. As you all may know I did not manage to not buy any more books … There has been many type of work outs and diets and what not and I always fail at this. However I also know that had I not tried them all my body would look a whole lot different today. Because all this try-out keep me in a somewhat shape and I learn something from everyone of them.

I doubt that I will be writing about insanity two months from know, but if I do I’ll post pictures to show the result. Keeping my fingers crossed to see some abs!

xoxo

30 days of books: Day 29

Apr 28, 2011 rosee_85 | 30 days of books

Day 29 – A book everyone hated but you liked

This is a tough one cause it’s normally the other way around. I really did like The Host by Stephanie Meyer, now I know that there are a lot of people out there who LOVE her books but to me it seems like there’s just as many who hate them. I am not a big fan of Twilight but The Host felt different, it was something I hadn’t read before and a lovely romantic book.

30 days of books: Day 28

Apr 27, 2011 rosee_85 | 30 days of books

Day 28 – Favorite title

There’s a million great titles out there and I’m sure a lot of them is better then this one. But since I decided to pick one that I have in my book shelf the winner is: The Lies of Locke Lamora. A so so book if you ask me but the title just rolls of your tongue like that.

30 days of books: Day 27

Apr 26, 2011 rosee_85 | 30 days of books

Day 27 – The most surprising plot twist or ending

If anyone dosen’t know who Patrick Rothfuss is, he is the author of The Name of the Wind and Wise Mans Fear. I’ve read the first one and it is excellent and will be starting the second one soon. However he has also written a children’s book for adults called The Adventures of the Princess and Mr. Wifflle and I can without a doubt say that the ending made me say, what??? Really??? Did not see that one coming.

30 days of books: Day 26

Apr 25, 2011 rosee_85 | 30 days of books

Day 26 – A book that changed your opinion about something

I think I’ve mentioned this book once before.

I’ve always had a kind of resentment against those so called self help books, not sure why since I belie reading about it is the answer to any problem. The more you know the more power you got.

But A new earth by Eckhart Tolle really did change my mind, mind you it did not change my life but more the perspective of which I view things. There are things that seemed more important before, mostly the need for material things, that after I read the book I couldn’t even understand why I felt the need to have more stuff.

It did not however help me with the obsession to get more books, perhaps it’s time for a re-read.
